Eleanor and myself out for another run, it's nice that the distance is up over this time 6 months ago. All of our runs are longer and faster than before. Should put us on track for a marathon in several more months training!
Myself and Eleanor went for a run. Our first long run since the half-marathon and it was harder than it should have been. Neither of us were feeling as fit as the day of the race, but I guess that is to be expected.
Eleanor and myself out for another run, got to keep the legs loose for Saturday! Hardly felt any effects from this run (afterwards I mean!) I guess that means I'm getting fitter.
Eleanor and myself went for a late run in the Phoenix Park. A nice 10K, at a nice pace. Hoping that I'll be able to do something similar next Saturday for the half-marathon in the park!
Third day of swimming in the pool for my back, I can feel it a little more today, but I swam 15 minutes of contiuous backstroke, and I reckon that's why. I haven't done backstroke in years, and I think I'm using muscles that have forgotten how to be used!
My second day of training my back. I've decided not to measure the distance I swim in these sessions, I don't want it to become that sort of session, not yet anyway. I'm just going for a swim, with some backstroke in there (apparently this is the best stroke to strengthen your back). Feel fine afer two sessions.
I'm trying to get my back in shape, again. This time however I'm trying swimming. Swimming is supposed to be very good for your back, or so I've been told. Every morning, Monday to Friday anyway, I'm going for a 30 minute swim. It started Monday last.
Myself and Eleanor went running around Celbridge again, but I haven't yet marked out the route, so I'm not sure how far we went. If I had to guess, I would say it was around 10KM.
