Augmented Reality Again
MIT place virtual items in the real-world.
They track where the screen is and its orientation, and if the screen is 'pointing' at a virtual item, it will be displayed on the screen.
Augmented Reality Just got Spooky for me!
"Displacements is an immersive film installation by Michael Naimark. He filmed 3 people in an archetypal Americana living room. The camera was standing in the middle of the room and rotated sowly. Afterwards he spray-painted the whole room white and placed a projector at the same spot of the camera. The result is a strange augmented reality effect. He did this for the first time back in 1980, this version is from 2005."
Sort Algorithms Demonstration
A nice set of animations that display how different sorting algorithms work. There are also links that have more information for each algorithm.
MIT DARPA Logfiles
MIT took part in the DARPA Grand Challenge, and they have been kind enough to release the data from their log files to the public. They are over 200GB in total, so you might want a fast connection and lots of HDD space before tou start downloading!
Autofill Forms - Firefox Add-on
You just enter in the info you want to fill forms with, and everytime you come across a webform hit the button and it fills it in for you. Works perfectly about 30% of the time, and works very well about 50% of the time, the remaining 20% it's a little dodgy, but it doesn't add time to the form filling procedure.
