Over the years I've held various positions with regard to copyright and paying for non-physical information. With the Times in the UK opting for a paywall and a website which is effectively all user-generated content that I frequent often also moving towards a subscription based model I have been thinking about where I stand again. I hold conflicting opinions, as I am both a producer of copyrightable material and a consumer of that material. I'm going to lay both of these bags of snakes out straight and see what they look like.
Following on from The Spine Clinic, I recently updated PhysioCare's website for them, at http://physio.ie. The website is a Drupal base (my CMS of choice, my Drupal-dojo is strong), as with any Drupal site, there are lots of modules in there too.
I made a slight adjustment to the theme on the site, there was fade effect on hover over any of the items on the page, but it was really annoying, so I got rid of it!
100% marketing, that's what this post is. Not for me, but for Drupal and the module developers (well since I do some module development I guess this is a little for me too). 'Apps' are known to the consumer now, and they know them as a small program that does something on their device, generally a mobile phone, but the word is migrating to desktop apps too.
I just spent a few hours fine-tuning the portfolio button you see on the top of the homepage. When you click that button now, the page will drop down, and new section fills in the empty space. In this new section, there is a showcase of some of the websites I have developed.
