Drupal 'Modules' could be renamed 'Apps'

100% marketing, that's what this post is. Not for me, but for Drupal and the module developers (well since I do some module development I guess this is a little for me too). 'Apps' are known to the consumer now, and they know them as a small program that does something on their device, generally a mobile phone, but the word is migrating to desktop apps too. In the Drupal world, Drupal is the 'system' and the modules are the 'apps', it's a perfect fit.

I'm not advocating a giant name change or anything, but in my opinion it can only help Drupal gain traction with non-technical people. While I try to avoid getting technical with clients I think talking about "installing the contact form app" will make sense, even though that is at the expense of explaining the underpinnings of the Drupal ecosystem.
